Final Fantasy XIII is set in a futuristic world controlling advanced technology and magical crystals. Pulse, the world Final Fantasy XIII is based on has had an evil history which has resulted in the construction of the floating utopian city called Cocoon. For a reason so far unkown, the citizens of Cocoon fear the world below.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII takes place in a dark, gloomy unknown city ruled by a young prince named Noctis. He is fighting to defend the last remaining Crystal, the mythos that binds the Fabula Nova Crystallis compiliation.

Noctis owns a kingdom which is in the middle of a cold war with an opposing side. He has been seen battling troops which are presumably from his enemies fighting for the last remaining crystal, using multiple weapons ranging from lances to swords and even a machine gun to fight off the attacking hordes.

Later he is seen speaking with a girl named Stella, who is a part of an opposing nation also presumably after the crystal. The story is said to be much like Romeo and Juliet in that two people both members of opposing families fall in love. Noctis appears very shy around Stella but is not an "emo boy", as Tetsuya Nomura put it. He is also friends with a group of people showing classic Final Fantasy traits; a man with a gun, a man who will attack with his fists and an intellectual looking man.

Aside from his friends and enemies attacking him at the gates, another mysterious man is seen attempting to also steal the crystal. He has only been shown briefly, but wears a distinct white cloak and wields powerful magic. His allegiance is unknown at this time.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII has no solid release date, but development is well underway and gameplay has been shown briefly in scans which are sadly not of the best quality. The battle system is being designed by the Kingdom Hearts / Advent Children team, so it is fair to expect something a long the lines of the style of fighting seen in their previous projects. The city shown in the trailers so far has been modelled after real life areas in Japan and will contain elements of today’s world including issues like Global Warming. The story itself is heavily inspired by the works Shakespeare as quoted in multiple trailers: "Nothing is either good or bad but thinking makes it so" is a famous line from Shakespeare's Hamlet. This line is basically the notion that good and bad is a perspective of an individual. It is likely the game will deal with this outlook on things.

Super Metroid is an action-platform game that primarily takes place on the fictional planet Zebes, which is a large, open-ended world with areas connected by doors and elevators. The game begins as she follows the leader of the Space Pirates, Ridley, to the planet Zebes, where she searches for the stolen larva in a network of caves.

Along the way, Samus defeats four of the Space Pirate bosses, including Ridley, and arrives in Tourian, the heart of the Space Pirate base. There, she encounters the Metroid larva, which has now grown to an enormous size. It attacks Samus and nearly drains all of her energy before it realizes who she is, and then departs. Samus recharges her energy and confronts Mother Brain, the biomechanical creature that controls the base's systems. Mother Brain nearly kills Samus, but is then attacked by the Metroid larva, which drains it of its energy and transfers it back to Samus. Mother Brain recovers and destroys the Metroid in retaliation, but is in turn destroyed by Samus with an extremely powerful weapon created from the energy given to her by the Metroid. Afterward, a planetwide self-destruct sequence begins, which Samus narrowly escapes.

Super Metroid was released by Nintendo in Japan on March 19, 1994, in North America on April 18, 1994, and in Europe on July 28, 1994. The game was later released as a Virtual Console for the Wii in North America on August 20, 2007, in Japan on September 20, 2007, and in Europe on October 12, 2007.[14] It was given near-universal acclaim, receiving an aggregated score of 96% from Game Rankings, making it the website's 9th highest-rated game. The former British video game publication Super Play, which had three editors review the game, also enjoyed it. Aided by his elite, he forced the Huk off Kalee and then swarmed their homeworld, conquering the Huk. The Huk turned to the Galactic Republic for help, and the Kaleesh were forced back to their own world by the Jedi and left to starve.

Desperate to help his people, Grievous took a job as an enforcer with the InterGalactic Banking Clan. However, after learning that the Huk had attacked Kalee, he headed home to gain vengeance. After consulting with his ally, Confederate Head of State Count Dooku, IGBC Chairman San Hill arranged for a bomb to be placed on Grievous's shuttle, Martyr. The Kaleesh was critically injured, but lived, and Hill arranged for the final stage of his plan. Grievous was reconstructed as a cyborg and was presented to Dooku as a potential weapon to be used in the upcoming war that the count had planned against the Republic.

After being made Supreme Commander, Grievous proceeded to wreak havoc on the Republic for the three-year–span of the Clone Wars. The general was trained in the art of lightsaber combat by Dooku himself, who was also a Sith Lord. Grievous was a quick study and eventually came to be recognized as one of the most skilled duelists in the galaxy. Aided by his IG-100 MagnaGuards, Grievous killed many Jedi, and led the Confederacy to victory in many battles. Quickly gaining a reputation as a savage, merciless brute as well as a tactical genius, the cyborg struck fear into the hearts of many with his flagship, the ion cannon–armed Malevolence, as well as Operation Durge's Lance, a massive strike at the Core Worlds.

In 19 BBY, Grievous led the Confederate Navy in the Battle of Coruscant, an attack on the Republic's capital. Grievous killed several Jedi and took Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, leader of the Republic, hostage. However, before the general's flagship, Invisible Hand, could jump to hyperspace, the Republic Navy arrived, and the Chancellor was freed by Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, who also succeeded in killing Dooku. Grievous fled to the Outer Rim world of Utapau and attempted to regain control of the war, though the Confederacy had been dealt a great blow with the loss of Dooku. Of those three things, the psychology of previous researchers still believe that someone has a bad character because they do have the 'seed' born evil been eating. But Zimbardo found that it is not true. He found that the larger the environment in making a person becomes evil. In the 1970s, he made a risky experiment on the subject, namely "Stanford Prison Experiment".

In this experiment, he asked for volunteers to help are willing to play the role as a prison guard and inmates for a full 2 weeks. The study involved people who had no history of jail or doing any crime, can be said that they were all good people. From the beginning of the study, they actually diskenariokan as prisoners, from the picked up at their homes in a police car and the handcuffs from the police, until the rules of the prison simulation, located in the basement of Stanford University. The first days of the study proceeded in accordance with estimates, but in a few days after that, there are events beyond expectations. The first trailer has arrived online for the upcoming live action adaptation of the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender (henceforth known simply as The Last Airbender). I have to admit, my main interest in this film is to see M. Night Shyamalan do something a little different (and, more specifically, something he didn’t write entirely himself), but although I have never seen the show, I am starting to think we could have a pretty epic fantasy flick on our hands here.

The teaser trailer doesn’t show much except for the main character Aang (played by first-time actor Noah Ringer) practicing some martial arts, only to reveal some enemy ships pursuing him. Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) is nowhere to be seen. Again, there’s not a heck of a lot to go on, but I already get the impression that this will be a lot more successful than Dragonball Evolution was. That said, my biggest question is, how the heck did M. Night Shyamalan still manage to get his name incorporated into the title? The Last Airbender hits theatres on July 2nd, 2010; check out the trailer after the jump.

In addition to hackneyed celebrity appearances, tween charts, and prettied-up trailers featuring little to no gameplay, James Cameron graced the stage, spending a good 30 minutes verbally describing his complex, long thought-out narrative and mechanics describing the upcoming game adaption of his upcoming film, Avatar (which should come with a disclaimer that it is not, in fact, related to Avatar: The Last Airbender, which will be getting its own theatrical adaption titled “The Last Airbender”. Not confusing at all, right?).

Considering how Cameron’s lecture was devoid of any visual medium whatsoever, anyone still curious at how this ambitious project can take a look at the official website, which just went live moments ago. The website is devoid of much content aside from a few screenshots and a pre-order button, but James could have saved us all an agonizing experience by describing his opus as “Halo meets Aliens”.

The story of the film is simple: at the beginning a man cycles to the sea shore with a little girl. The man hugs the girl goodbye, and sets out to sea in a row boat. The girl leaves. Next, we see the girl riding her bicycle alone to the shore and looking out to the sea. The girl grows up, goes to the shore with her fiancée, then with two children and her husband. Finally, the girl is an old woman, strenuously cycling to the shore. She leaves the bicycle on the beach and starts walking towards the sea. The shoreline has retreated, the old woman walks among the reeds until she finds a boat that has rotted through. The old woman gets on the boat and lies down as if to sleep. Suddenly the old woman gets up, sees something out at sea and starts running towards the open water, at the same time turning back into the little girl she was at the beginning of the film. The little girl runs to the open arms of her father.

The film is full of beautiful pictures drawn with a few colors and strokes and simplified animation. On the other hand, the music was annoying, wistful accordion music again played at the beginning. the film is filled with sadness and sorrow in which we lost a father

The crying seemed to go on forever. It was the crying of twenty years ago, when I heard my father had died. Again I took my bicycle and rode straight ahead, without stopping. I felt it all again: the shortness of breath, tears, wet hair on my face, the squeaking of the bent chain guard, the compulsive need to keep riding and staring at the road ahead, not turning back, hoping that the road would go on forever. But finally I only remembered my father, the big hands of a big man, tobacco smell on a flannel shirt, things he said and his gestures I had already forgotten.

Little by little the crying stopped. I hadn’t really thought of my father during my adult years, and was in no way prepared for the heavy longing I suddenly felt. But Father and Daughter has been with me ever since. Its imagery and mood come to my mind time and again, and the simple beauty of the story always brings me comfort. I can’t really analyze the experience or its reasons. And I don’t want to, because Father and Daughter showed me that there are moments when the right film finds the right viewer and settles in his heart. This is an amazing fossil amber ecosystem containing more than 70 insects and two spiders. There are two principle inclusions, a huge mantis-looking cockroach measuring 16 mm in length, and a rare mosquito.

Mosquitoes are members of Order Diptera and very rarely found in amber, where most other Diptera are common. In all there are 7 insects orders represented, including a cranefly (Diptera), earwig (Dermaptera), and 2 Alates (Isoptera), the winged, sexual form of the termite.

The hand-polished clear specimen is large and thin. In all, an amazing slice of once-animated life from an ancient rainforest ecosystem.

I stumbled upon some articles debating if Resident Evil 5 is a racist game. Just the fact that this is being even remotely debated angers me and infuriates me greatly.

Resident Evil 5 is the 12th console game in the series, yes the 12th.

In this occasion the setting is in Africa where the main character Chris Redfield goes to investigate occurrences where innocent villagers are being infected with a virus that turns them into “zombies.” Over there he teams up with Sheva (a local) to stop these events. look!

Look at our president Barack Obama, instead of having the same talking points as other african-american civil rights leaders have, he went for something different. He had a message of hope, a message that we are all together; yes he did remind us that his grandfather couldn’t sit in a restaurant 60 years ago, but when comparing it to the fact that a country that has been divided by racism as much as the United States has it’s first black president the reminder is welcome.

Resident Evil 5 is just a game, if you think that because here it deals with black people then it’s racist, then look deep within yourself and ask yourself: “is it okay then to shoot white/hispanic/asian/european people?” Do you even know how many times have german and japanese being killed in World War II movies and games? Do you see them complaining? Is it racism? Resident Evil 5 is NOT racist.

Just because Obama is president doesn’t mean racism has ended, but by spreading ignorance and hate won’t help either.

After Umbrella/ Lost in Nightmares

After the collapse of Umbrella, rivals and terrorist groups managed to get their hands on Umbrella's projects. With the growing fear of a bio-terror holocaust in Africa, Chris and Jill co-founded a Bioterror Assessment group partly to locate Wesker who was revealed to be alive when Chris fought him while searching for his sister in Resident Evil: Code Veronica. In 2006, a tip led Chris and Jill to arrest Ozwell E. Spencer, one of the key founders of Umbrella, but when they located him in his monster filled mansion home, he had already been killed by Wesker. Chris and Jill opened fire but were easily taken down by Wesker's superhuman strength. With Wesker ready to deliver a fatal blow to Chris, Jill selflessly tackled Wesker (releasing his grasp on Chris) out the window and descended down the cliff side with Wesker firmly in her grasp.

Her body was never found and she was presumed dead. In truth, however she had survived,

but was badly injured and unconscious. Wesker then took Jill, and intended to use her as one of the first test subjects in his Uroboros Project. Placing her in cryogenic sleep, Wesker discovered an abnormality within Jill's body: a remnant of the t-virus infection from Raccoon City, which had been reactivated by the cryogenic stasis. As the virus disappeared, it left in its place powerful antibodies, which Wesker then used in order to help make the Uroboros less poisonous, thus giving human subjects a better chance of surviving infection. As a result of the antibody extraction Jill's hair became a light blond color, and her skin became paler due to lack of sunlight (etiolation). After using her to further his virus-development, Wesker then decided to use her as a potential super soldier. His method was to use "P30", a Progenitor-virus based chemical, which granted the user immense strength and speed, but also made them susceptible to control. While P30 had potential, it also lasted for only a short time, due to the body metabolizing it quickly. To remedy this Wesker placed a mechanism on Jill's chest to release a steady stream of P30 into her, in order to keep her under his control, while she hid behind a cloak and beak shaped mask.

Brainwashed and disguised, Jill was sent to assist and keep an eye on Ricardo Irving, an employee of Excella. Chris went to Kijuju to investigate strange happenings somehow involving Tricell, and was introduced to Agent Sheva Alomar, his new partner assigned to aid him in the region she was familiar with. During their pursuit of Irving, Chris found files which included pictures of a blonde woman in a pod who looked like Jill Valentine, giving him hope for her survival. When the pair closed in on Irving's location, he saw them coming from a security camera and fled to a mining area with Jill beside him in an old car. Chris and Sheva followed him to the mining area and soon cornered Irving in his hiding place where he was hiding plans to his operation. As the three held each other at gunpoint, a smoke grenade was all of a sudden thrown into the room, blinding Chris and Sheva. The disguised Jill then swung down, crashed through the window, and grabbed Irving, urging him to hurry. Mocking the agents, Irving was swiftly pulled out another window by the cloaked Jill, who Chris and Sheva did not recognize. While the two escaped, the agents saw where they were going on the documents Irving was guarding: an oil field in the marshlands.

Chris and Sheva went in pursuit to the area in question, attempting to capture Irving while also searching for Jill. They refused to retreat and fought past Irving's forces until they found the Tricell oil facility, where Irving was holed up. Inside the base, Jill gave Irving a briefcase of gold bars as his payment, but he accused the mind controlled Jill as being no more than "one of Excella's playthings". Jill demanded to know how Irving was going to eliminate the B.S.A.A. agents since all other attempts had failed. She strangled Irving and held him up to a wall with one hand, making use of her enhanced strength. She demanded further to know how Irving planned to kill Chris and Sheva. While he continued to mock and insult Jill as a mere servant, Irving was eventually persuaded and convinced her he would handle the situation. Jill released her grip and handed Irving a Control Plaga sample, ordering him to use it as a means of destroying Chris and Jill. Irving tried to avoid the Plaga injection by setting off the self destruction of the field to get rid of the agents and fled on his yacht, with Jill accompanying him to the dock one last time. She then jumped down to a speed boat and escaped as Sheva spotted and recognized her from before. The field, being more dry than expected, failed to kill the pair as they escaped and followed Irving. They would eventually defeat the mutated Irving in combat and find out where Jill went from him.

Jill took her speed boat to the cave leading to the underground facility and went to report to Wesker and Gionne. Chris and Sheva arrived and found the boat docked in the cave, remembering the cloaked woman used it to escape and noticing that the key was missing. Jill reported to Wesker and Gionne about the B.S.A.A.'s arrival. Wesker sent Gionne and Jill to deal with the agents while he waited deeper in the center. Eventually, Chris and Sheva came across the pod they had seen within the file earlier, though it was now empty. They were contacted by Excella, who claimed that she didn't know where Jill was. Not believing her, they decided to track her down. They first met Excella in an experimental room deep within the facility with Jill standing beside her in an observation window. Excella told them about some process of evolution as a test subject began to transform into the creature Uroboros Mkono. After the "unworthy" subject fully mutated, Excella and Jill left. When Chris and Sheva defeated Mkono, they pursued Gionne and the cloaked servant. They eventually encountered Gionne in the flesh, and the masked Jill interrupted and nearly overpowered the two agents, despite being outnumbered.

A stray shot knocks away her mask, and Wesker pulls back her hood, revealing her to be Jill Valentine herself. Chris tries to talk to Jill but, under Wesker's control, she attacks him and Sheva with a flurry of hand to hand moves. This starts a battle, where the player has to avoid Wesker for 7 minutes or severely damage him enough to make him flee. During this time, Wesker can avoid virtually any attack thrown at him unless Chris is hiding at the time, while Jill can still be damaged and knocked down. If the player kills Jill, they get a game over screen reading "Your Partner Died", the same as if their AI partner was killed. Wesker gets ready to leave, but upon hearing Chris call Jill's name, Jill resists Wesker's control. He notes down the resistance, calling it fascinating to be happening at such a late stage and leaves her in great pain. A mechanism on her chest, responsible for injecting her with the P30 serum, is exposed at this point and has to be removed. Chris can try to pull off the device, or it can be shot off. (at a risk though, as Jill dies easily) Released from Wesker's control but severely weakened, Jill apologizes for her actions, stating that she had no control but was fully aware of everything she did. She tells the pair that they have to leave her behind and stop Wesker. Chris objects, but grudgingly agrees when Jill asks if he trusts his partner. After the pair leaves through an elevator, Jill finally declares that Chris is the world's only hope.

The Kijuju Autonomous Zone (KAZ) is a region in West Africa. Its official language is Swahili.

In late 2008, the Tricell Pharmaceutical Company began operations in the region, slowly releasing multiple genetically-enhanced forms of Las Plagas throughout the area. By early 2009, the increasing xenophobia and active racism against non-natives spread the plagas quickly through those willing to spread it and those forced to be impregnated with it.

The military was sent in to stop any further spread by having a large wall built around the destabilized zone, cutting through a large portion of the region.

The BSAA, under command of Chris Redfield, was sent in originally to stop the supposed smuggling of materials by TriCell employee Ricardo Irving, only to be faced with the threat of the plaga-infected Majini and the mysterious Uroboros project.

Jill and Josh make their way to the roof of the facility and await the rescue chopper, which is being piloted by BSAA operative, Doug. They have to hold off against dozens of majini and red executioners while they wait for Doug. When the chopper arrives, the two make a break for it, however, a nearby explosion caused by a majini welding a rocket launcher causes Jill to be knocked back and greatly injured. Josh lifts her to her feet and supports her as they try to reach the chopper, while Doug provides cover. The pair make it into the helicopter but before Doug can join them, he is killed by a majini. Josh pilots the chopper and Jill covers them with a rifle. She gets revenge for Doug's death by shooting the majini that killed him right between the eyes. They arrive to help Chris and Sheva just as Wesker falls into the molten lava. Jill throws a ladder out to Chris and Sheva. They climb into the chopper, Chris barely grabbing on before the ground melts into magma. Just as they climb inside the cabin, Wesker desperately reaches out with his mutated arm and immobilizes the helicopter, attempting to bring his most hated enemies with him as he dies. Jill tells Chris and Sheva to use the weapons stored in the the cabin, a pair of RPG-7s. They kill Wesker and release his grip on the helicopter. In the final cutscene in the chopper, Jill simply says "Finally...." in response to Chris saying "It's over...".
